Who knew that the second book I would read in this new year would be another 5-star read??? Pippa Grant, where the bloody heck have you been all my life? This book was ridonkulous fun of epic proportions!! It was sexy, romantic, funny, charming, and a good time was had by all. The PlotParker Elliot attends a bachelor auction to bid with the $50,000 she bribed from her boss. Long story. Just as long as the story behind why she’s at the bachelor auction to begin with. She needs a date and not ju [...]

NOTE: This coming year I have set a challenge for myself of reading one book a week that takes me out of my comfort zone. A book that may include one (or more) tropes (scenarios) that I avoid like the plague. Cheating. Older women/younger man. OW drama. Just to name a few. Nothing is off limits. I am taking a HUGE step out of the box I usually live in and charting a course into the unknown (HaHa). My reviews for these books will differ from my usual as I will focus more on whether the author wow [...]

4 An Homage to Romance Readers Everywhere Stars* * * * Spoiler Free It's Live!!!This was a Hoot! From the first tease of the Blurb to actual reading of the tale. Pippa Grant took her love of all things Romance and spread it over these pages. She gave virtual hugs to authors and appreciation to readers who love them. With ever nod to the Romance industry a face palming smile erupted. This book has characters from Mister McHottie and in this entry we are given Parker Elliot's and Knox Moretti's st [...]

    4. Book-Bosomedblog says:

Librarian Knox Moretti has a love for reading. That extends to romance novels and playing hero in his real life. Parker Elliot is in need of a hot date for her high school reunion. When she sets her sights on Knox, she doesn’t realize they’ve met before. But then neither does he.This story started out really cute. I thought I might never watch The Lion King the same way again. But that’s okay, because the new imagery is much….hotter. Knox was likable from the start. His narration was lig [...]

3.5 Mr Romance StarsThis was a fun and sexy ROM-COM with a charming, romantic hero who just happens to love reading romance books.Knox is a librarian who is a also known as Mr Romance. He is a book blogger with a love for romance books. If I'm going to be honest, I'm not really swooning over a hero who is a romance novel enthusiast. Am I being sexist? Probably but it's just my preference. In any case once I looked past that I did really get to love Knox because he was seriously sexy and endearin [...]

Knox Moretti can be the king of MY jungle, any day!Wait, wait….is one’s better….Move over Parker, there’s only room for ME on Knox’s “vine”!Oh, and there’s this one….*snort*I’ll gladly help Knox hide his anaconda, ‘cause his loincloth sure isn’t doing the job!Okay, okay….enough of my terrible jokes. But seriously….you know what’s absolutely NOT terrible? THIS BOOK!!!! Holy freaking moly I LOVED this book so hard. Like, HARD hard, ya know what I’m saying? *wink*I [...]

    7. 1-Click Addict Support Group says:

I laughed and laughed and laughed…Parker and Knox – all the characters in this laugh out loud romantic comedy – had me laughing uncontrollably. Their conversations were refreshingly honest even as they were filled with innuendoes, one-liners and punch lines. With a high school reunion at the center, I wondered occasionally if I had actually dropped into the hallowed (ha ha) halls of my alma mater. Not in a juvenile way but in a way that spoke volumes about how much Parker and her friends k [...]

so this wasn't for me the heroine is pushing 40 and these are her inner musings (view spoiler)[Chapter 7: He nips at my lip with his teeth, and Jesus, Mary, and One Direction, that one little nibble is going to make me come apart at my seams. My panties are so hot they’re smoking. Like my pussy’s going to need a cigarette after this, and neither I, nor my pussy, have ever smoked a day in our lives. At this point in the book I'm already prepared for the fact that the story is gonna be OTT/sla [...]

Another 2018 fave, already?! Not questioning things. I enjoyed this immensely. Full of humor, steam, and love. Parker has a situation: No date for her high school reunion, and she's determined to show all those bullies of yesteryear that she's a successful, take-charge woman who's thriving in love. As soon as she sees the man in [...]

4.5 stars.Loved this one even more than the first book.Parker and Knox's story was just so much sweeter and endearing while still containing all the same funny and sexy elements that had me enthralled with Sia and Chase's story. Less screwball comedy but still super hilarious.Sign me up for this authors next release please!!!It is also available on KU.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. And boy is Parker Elliot desperate. She has recently been promoted to Vice President of Marketing for Crunchy and her boss has asked her to get a new account. Unfortunately, her new account target is her ex-husband. And she has to go to her high school reunion to corner himI mean, talk to him. Oh, did I mention Parker’s high school nickname was Pimple Popper Parker? Yeah, not the best of times. So, she goes out and tries to win a bachelor at a bache [...]

    12. Mandi Schreiner says:

Another cute and sexy one from this author. I think I liked Mister McHottie more, but this one was still super fun and over the top silly - but not too over the top. It made me snort-laugh a lot. I can't wait for book three out in Feb!!! Loving this author's voice

This book was fantastic! It was hilarious and smart but sexy and sweet all at the same time. I adore that the Hero of the story was the romance reader and the heroine was not. It was something you don’t read about but something I’m keenly aware is a reality. Men read romance too you guys! I can’t even tell you how excited I was to see so many of my favorite books and authors mentioned in this story. It really makes for an awesome reading experience when you can connect with the characters [...]

    16. Kait Nolan says:

Oh my God. Can I give this book 50 stars? Please? Because never have I read a greater love song to the genre of romance than this book. Hearing Knox Moreti, in all his tattooed, eight-pack goodness, stand up and say all the things we lovers of the genre say whenever some douchecanoe at the New York Times or [insert proper, stuffed shirt, "I think I'm better than you", intellectual publication--God knows there are plenty] disparages the books we love (always without having legitimately READ THE G [...]

    17. Joyce says:

Pippa Grant proves she’s no one hit wonder with her follow up to Mister McHottie. While funny, this book never crosses the line into “what the heck just happened” territory. The funny bits are tempered with sweet sexy moments between too good to be true “Mr Romance” Knox Moretti and adorably gawky Parker Elliot. I loved these two, their unexpected childhood connection made their meeting so funny and thrilling, and I love that Parker’s the one with the demanding high-powered job and K [...]

This is my first book read of 2018 and first book I’ve read by Pippa Grant. It was a fun and lovely read which I really enjoyed. We meet Knox Moretti, he’s a librarian and also a very popular romance blogger known as Mr Romance. He attends a charity auction, wearing his Tarzan Loincloth, and is immediately attracted to the stunning women who bids $50,000 for a date with him, sadly she is immediately outbid by another women wo pays $100,000 to win the Auction. Parker Elliot attend a bachelor [...]

This is the kind of romance book that can easily polarise readers. You’re either going to be snorting with laughter, cackling at the innuendos or you’ll be rolling your eyes at the crassness of it all. I fall into the group of snorting cacklers.Foremost, this book pays homage to romance books and romance book readers. Knox Moretti, aka Mr. Romance, and our hero is a librarian and romance book blogger. He exhibits many traits of hardcore romance readers; his Kindle is filled with books, he is [...]

I loved the story and plot but the heroine was just too much for me. She’s an almost 40 year old career oriented professional who doesn’t want marriage or kids. Ok but she’s also shy, awkward, clumsy and the guitarist in a cover band. The things she says and thinks we’re just too over the top for me. She was constantly wet, her nipples reached out (bad mental image) and tried to grab and her pussy was just a little to vocal for me. I think she would have been better toned down a bit. But [...]

What a Delightful and Hilarious RomCom! Stud in the Stacks will have you smiling and down right laughing at loud as Parker, Parker Elliot spreads her wings. The author has done an amazing job with this book. From the crazy storyline to the oh so funny characters in it.Needless to say the book is about one Miss Parker Elliot. Parker was a nerdy kid and picked on high school which left her a lot of scars. Fast forward to now, years later, she has a great VP job that she loves and plays in a band w [...]

Take one sexy as sin male librarian who loves his romance novels and sets all the ladies' pants on fire, add in one beautiful yet awkward and successful businesswoman, mix with a healthy dose of humor and some drama and you have the perfect rom-com (and your next book boyfriend)!! There are very few authors who can have me, quite literally, laughing out loud so hard that I snort but Pippa Grant achieved this and more with both her first book, Mister McHottie and now, Stud in the Stacks. Her humo [...]

This book is amazeballs. It’s filled with love, laughter, dirty Nanas, and unicorn poop. Oh, and tacos. What more could you ask for?I am in complete and total love with Knox. He is every girl’s dream man. Hot, sexy, funny, smart and loves romance books. His strong, hero style mixed with his sensitive side would make anyone swoon. Parker is a beautiful hot mess. Every girl can relate a bit to her insecurities, which are exaggerated to a point of hilarity. This is a story about a girl who has [...]

All I gotta ask is where has Author Pippa Grant been all my reading life?! This is every Rom-Com Readers dream come true! I have experienced a readers high with this one, like I never wanna come down, like a very happy book hangover! Wanting to tell everyone out there that they have to read this! This story is hilarious, it would make any worst day and I mean the worst day into the best day! I would love to have some kind of clone machine, or a machine that can make a character in a book come to [...]

    25. Kathy Rouchelle says:

I thoroughly enjoyed this delightfully quirky, funny and hot as taco sauce RomCom. The storyline is brilliant, having a female lead who has a successful job and is confident in her job, but not so much her personal life. She has one job to do right now and that is getting the man she married when she was really really young (and had the marriage annulled), to bring his organic hops to the company she works for. She need a hot date for her high school reunion to show all of the bullies that she g [...]

I have read several of Pippa books but I have to say I think this one has to rank as my favorite from her. From the Tarzan auction to beating up a football player in the bathroom I couldn't stop from laughing and just really enjoying this book.Knox is a librarian by day and Mr. Romance blogger at night. Parker is VP of marketing for a organ [...]

I'm not much of an LOL'er. Maybe I'm repressed, but usually the best you'll get from me when I'm reading in bed is a smirk. A snort if I'm really putting myself out there. I might go "ha! ha!" in my head. But STUD IN THE STACKS had me legit laughing out loud, which alarmed my dog and annoyed my husband. Mr. Romance (and Pippa Grant) have turned me into a gleeful guffawer. An unchaste chortler. A salacious titterer. I'm fairly ruined and totally looking forward to the next in the series.

This is the first title I have read by Pippa Grant. Stud in the Stacks is a funny and charming read. I loved the hero and his enjoyment of all things romance. And the recommendations he makes are on point. I also like the heroines love of all things taco. She is really funny and I enjoyed her inner dialogue. This book is a must read. I can’t wait to read the next one.Reviewed by: Clare M.

I liked this one more than the first but once again, I'm not a fan of the constant joking/sarcasm/nicknaming of sex organs. It seems infantile after a while. This is more of a - it's not you it's me - thing though. The stories are filled with humor and great female relationships, it's just not my thing. So I gave two a try but I'll be stopping here. The series is on KU though if you're interested.

I can't believe I just read a book called Stud in the Stacks. What have I become? But it was cute and fun and surprisingly funny. And where was a guy like Knox when I worked at the public library???This was my first book by Pippa Grant and it really had me chuckling. I will definitely try another by her.
