UNREADABLE.The third-person, present-tense POV was awkward and distracting, like someone going about their day and narrating their thoughts and actions: Dani sees her boss. Oh, no, that's trouble! Dani ducks and smiles sweetly. This is not the time or place. She's already thinking of tonight's dessert. And the strawberries. Dani takes a step back. In this world, men can get pregnant, but there's no attemp at exploring that dynamic. There's no plot either. The MCs act like tweens and talk about n [...]

Perfectly sweet slice-of-lifeI loved this book so much. Sometimes you just want to read something sweet with little to no conflict, and that is this book. It's perfect, really. Dash and Campbell are such sweet characters and I enjoyed seeing the progression of their relationship. Each chapter is a new stage and highlights a part of them. When I say there isn't conflict, I mean that it's not heavy. These are small moments people see each day. There is something just inherently wonderful and pure [...]

Dash is a chef in New Orleans and consistently unlucky in love, until he walks into a specialty food store he finds Campbell Baker, the owner of Campbell's Canteen. Being in love isn't always easy and it takes the help of Dash's best friend, Campbell's older sister, and an unlikely ally in a food reviewer, but they survive the rough patches in their relationship and make it down the aisle. An okay story, very different voice than Aiden's usual.

    4. Janet Charlton says:

Sorry. I really like Aiden Bates but I can’t bring myself to read this book which seems to be entirely in the present tense. I got to about p3 then flicked though to see if I could see anything written in the past tense. No joy. This is a seriously DNF.

    5. Denise White says:

3.5 This was a sweet read I liked both Campbell and Dash nothing really explained in the book how and why are men able to get pregnant but other than that just sweet like the title

    6. Deirdre says:

AwesomeOMG! I never expected this book to be so great. If you enjoy sweet tender mm romances, then this one is for you. Aiden Bates has outdone himself in writing this story. I just got through reading another fantastic mpreg book and I never imagined that I would strike gold again. The story of Dash and Campbell involved two lonely men who fell too much. Who loved too quickly and unwisely. Each had a way to supplement their empty hearts, neither was the greatest coping strategy: drinking too muc [...]

This book was so aptly named! The story is sweet without being sappy or cheesy and the all the characters, even secondary ones, really shine. My heart went out to Dash who was so desperate for love that he was lonely and damaged, yet perfect for Campbell. Campbell is adorable, not a virgin but he seemed very innocent and delicate. The growth of their relationship seems unhurried and gentle. There is definite heat but also they just have fun together, sharing little things and connecting emotiona [...]

Not a bad story, but needs an editorThe beginning of this book DEFINITELY needs some editing. At one point the tense shifts mid-paragraph. I'm not totally sure whether this dramatically improved as the book went on or I just got used to it. I did like the story. Cliche and unrealistic as it was, it was pretty cute and I did like the characters. I am glad it was part of Kindle Unlimited.

***2016 has been a very unstable year. Not only have I lost favourite role models in droves, I have been into dark places more times than I could count. Yes, I experienced highlights as well but the darkness has had a big impact this year and the only way to keep it at bay was reading, mass reading, back to back books with no stopping and no reviewing. I do apologize to all the writers that I won’t be able to review their books yet but I will get to it. Promise!***

    10. Nancy Hall says:

Unusual storyline I sometimes found the story hard to follow as it was being written in and out of the third party. Also no mention ever was made really on how or reasons second party in storyline could or would get pregnant or have babiesmewhat confusing but still very interesting.

    11. Jennifer Meinken says:

I've read other books by this author and always enjoyed them but this book no Half the time I didn't really know what was going on such as (tmi sorry) going from fingering to f*cking, going from one event to another there's really no sense of time I thought

    12. C L says:

I really enjoy this book, but I wish it was longer. Dash and Campbell were a sweet couple. Dash and Campbell were charming characters. They were both involved with the food industry, dash was a chef and Campbell owned Campbell's canteen. I would definitely read this book again.

    13. Cindy says:

This was such a sweet romantic story. I liked how connected I felt with the characters. I thought the food themed names was such a creative touch. Both Dash and Campbell are such sensitive, romantic, and charming men and I loved reading their story.

    14. KathyKnuckles says:

    15. Kirsty Norris says:

I found it hard to engage with the characters, there didnt seem to be much depth to them especially as it was an insta love story

    16. Katherine Cherry says:

Although this says it it mpreg, there is no mpreg in this book. It is a contemporary m/m romance set in a world where mpreg is a possiblity.

    17. Diana says:

Absolute confectionI smiled almost every single minute while I was reading this book, except for the times that I laughed out loud. Sweet and frothy like whipped cream.

    18. JaiNicole23 says:
